What happens during an initial Hypnotherapy Session?
The Hypnotherapist listens to the client's descriptions of his or her issues.
After the initial discussion, a goal is determined and the client receives an explanation of what will take place during hypnotherapy.
The client is asked to sit in a comfortable position in a chair.
The induction begins with relaxing music and directions from the hypnotherapist, inviting a deepened sense of relaxation.
Once the appropriate level of relaxation or hypnosis is reached, the client's old habits or behaviors are released. A new behavior is introduced and affirmed. This can often be done in one visit.
When these suggestions are firmly established, the client is returned slowly, to a normal conscious state. The client will remember everything that they want to remember.
Each session is recorded on a stereo CD and is included in the cost of the session. Listening to the CD for a period of time for reinforcement, helps to make the changes permanent and usually prevents the need for additional sessions.
